Dr. S. M. Chapal Hossain is currently working as a faculty member of the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He obtained his B.Sc (Hon’s) in Mathematics, and M.Sc. (Thesis) in Applied Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics of the University of Dhaka. He also received his Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering from the Department of Electronic Science & Engineering of the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, P.R. China. His research areas include engineering medical science/engineering physics, medical device design for cancer detection and treatment, MRI-guided cryosurgery/nano-cryosurgery, hyperthermia, biomedical imaging, irreversible electroporation, cryopreservation, and nano-drug delivery system.
